Brendan Desilets has taught in Massachusetts high and middle schools since 1968, offering courses in English, creative writing, philosophy, semiotics, and career education. His writings have appeared in The English Journal, The Journal of Reading, Educational Leadership, The Middle School Journal, The New England League of Middle Schools Monograph Series, and elsewhere. Brendan has developed a variety of unusual educational projects over the years, including on-line research through Compuserve and Dialog, and multi-media work on the World Wide Web. In 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000, he moderated international exchanges of student views, via the Kidlink organization. Mr. Desilets' classes have explored literature through computer-based interactive fiction since 1985.
